July month is just about over…start the new month off with Manga.

Do you have the next manga series lurking in your head? If so, why not come to the Dongan Hills Library and put your creative skills to the test. Join us as Misako Rocks will teach you how to draw your own characters, plot your stories, and more. There will be an ongoing series of workshops at the library on manga drawing every Thursday starting August 2, 9 & 16, @ 2:30pm.  All materials will be provided. For ages 12 and 18 years old.

Join us later today as Andrew Simmons brings his animal entourage as he introduces nature’s amazing animals such as a python, an eagle, owl and much more at the Dongan Hills Library. You may even get to meet a lion, a tiger or bear up-close.

Join Andrew Simmons and his traveling zoo companions as he introduces to you pythons, eagles, and owls at the Dongan Hills Library on Wednesday, July 25 at 2:30pm. You may meet a lion, a tiger or a bear! For teens ages 12 to 18 years old. All New York Public Library programs are FREE of charge.

Come to the Dongan Hills Library and enjoy the sweet sounds of Country/Soul band Tall Pines featuring Canadian singer Connie Lynn Petruk and her song-writing partner Christmas Davis.  The band will be performing some of their music at the library for your enjoyment here on Saturday, July 21 at 2:30pm.

Morning folks, its T.G.I.F. and what better way to celebrate start of the (wet) weekend by coming into the library for some story time and fun at the Dongan Hills Library. Moms and Dads bring your toddlers to our branch to enjoy a little reading and watch your kid’s talents flourish before your very eyes. Program for kids ages 2 to 4. Pre-registration is required.
